Forms of Plagiarism:
1. Recognize the writings or works of others as their own work (such as quoting someone's writing from the internet and quoting it without quoting sources)
2. Recognize or claim ideas or ideas as one's own thoughts
3. Paraphrasing (indirect quotations) does not cite sources
4. The use of descriptions, expressions or explanations in the paper without quotation marks or without sources
5. enter some information such as data, interviews, audio visual, photos, videos, software and others without citing the expected source
The law governing plagiarism law number 19 of 2002
- Pasal 72 ayat (1): "Whoever intentionally and without the right to commit acts as referred to in Pasal 2 ayat (1) or Pasal 49 ayat (1) and ayat (2) shall be liable to a minimum of 1 (one) month imprisonment and / or a minimum fine. Rp. 1,000,000.00 (one million rupiah), or a maximum imprisonment of 7 (seven) years and / or a maximum fine of Rp. 5,000,000,000.00 (five billion rupiah) ".
- Pasal 2 ayat (1): "Copyright is an exclusive right for an Author or a Copyright Holder to announce or reproduce his Work, which arises automatically after a work is born without reducing restrictions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations".
- Pasal 10 ayat (4): Sanctions for Students who are proven to have committed plagiarism as referred to in Article 10 paragraph (4), respectively, from the light propeller to the most severe consisting of:
- Reprimand
- Written warning
- Postponement of giving as a student right
- Cancellation of the value of one or several courses obtained by students
- Dismissal with respect from status as a student
- Dismissal is not respectful of status as a student or
- Cancellation of a diploma if a student has graduated from a program.
